Fall 2021 I had the pleasure of being producer to a documentary.
The documentary, called Make Space, is about a man trying to make change in his community through a free space to create art.
After working on this documentary, I enrolled in a capstone called NewsBIN

I chose to cover the abandoned town of Daniels, Maryland. It was a once successful mill town, but is now a shadow of its former glory with only crumbling buildings remaining.

To tell this story I used a 360 video camera and used audio from a podcast I created for the project.

In NewsBIN, we were able to experiment with different video formats for different ways of storytelling.
We were all able to chose different topics for our  stories as well as different ways to tell this story, from playing around with graphics to different types of video.
Part of being in NewsBIN meant that I was able to be on the crew of a peer's project.
I helped cover the story of a woman run tattoo parlor in Bowie, Maryland.
